Please take a few minutes to read about this great event. Coordinated by Richard and Laura Rosenberg, this relatively new festival is proving to be an inspiration to hundreds of amateur and professional musicians. in downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas. From beginning (776Kb) to end (780Kb), the festival allows students from all over the United States to study side by side with professionals, called mentors. Students, called apprentices, and their audiences are exposed to events in a format that they may never get a chance to experience again. From ancient instruments such as the Opheclide (460Kb) to a professional recording session (440Kb), the students are exposed experiences they may never have imagined.

Richard and Laura Rosenberg make this event accessible to as many people as possible, taking into consideration the traditional barriers (370Kb) that audiences face. They cater to a variety of needs, including such events as church appearances and the kickoff (306Kb)of the festival on the steps of the Arlington Hotel. Apprentices and their mentors are encouraged to practice
(250Kb) in order to get the challenging parts under their fingers while at the same time enjoying what they are doing and having just the slightest bit of fun (550Kb).

Everyone who is involved in the event is very appreciative to the more than 350 volunteers (648Kb) who make the festival possible.

Join us as we listen in on the first sounds (496Kb) and take a journey into a unique event...THE HOT SPRINGS MUSIC FESTIVAL.
